Jayla Kai is a songwriter and musician. First influenced by folk music, she has grown to love the process of developing, arranging, and producing her solo compositions. She loves to explore new sonic territories through what she listens to and plays.
Homeschooled in upstate NY, Jayla benefited from the rich music community around her and the freedom to explore what she is passionate about. She makes demos regularly in her bedroom and records with her collaborators Manuel Quintana and Kyle Esposito in Manuel’s Beet Studio.
Additional interests of hers include sociology, visual arts, writing, and rock climbing (she has written songs about almost all of these things).
